FOUNDING STORY

Dennis Mwebia is an experienced technologist and entrepreneur dedicated to leveraging technology to address critical challenges in waste management. He founded Usafi360 in 2024 to revolutionize waste management in Africa by providing data-driven tools that empower waste collectors, reduce uncollected waste, and foster cleaner, greener cities. The vision for Usafi360 began in 2017, inspired by Dennis’s visit to Eastleigh, where he witnessed the overwhelming issue of uncollected waste and envisioned a sustainable, tech-driven solution.

With years of experience as a mobile software engineer, Dennis has also co-founded and served as COO of ibuQa, where he led engineering and operations to help businesses optimize logistics through automation. Additionally, he founded Panda Ndege, a flight booking app for domestic travel in Kenya. Throughout his career, Dennis has developed mobile applications for companies like Bidco Africa, Little, and Zagace and worked with Absa Bank’s innovation lab on a WhatsApp-integrated finance application. His expertise extends to consulting for startups, lecturing on programming, and contributing to health IT software projects early in his career.
